 Fibroblast Skin Tightening Treatment

What is Plasma Skin Tightening?

Plasma Skin Tightening is the only cosmetic treatment to use plasma to eliminate excess skin and boost collagen production!

The term “Soft Surgery” is often used to describe the treatment because it delivers results similar to surgery without a scalpel, stitch or bandage,

and minimal to NO downtime!

During the Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening treatment, an electric arc, also referred to as "plasma flash", forms between the tip of the treatment device and the patient's skin. Through a process called sublimation—which turns a solid directly into gas—the targeted tissues are instantly tightened, without causing damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers.

This tissue retraction and tightening gives results that are comparable to invasive surgery!

AFTERCARE

Following good and consistent aftercare will help ensure the best outcome to your treatment investment!

- For the first 4 days do the following -

Purchase a moldable Ice pack prior to treatment, and ice area to help alleviate any discomfort and excessive swelling - (20 minutes on 20 minutes off)

Apply collidial silver gel, which will be provided at the appointment. Take an antihistamine before the appointment and continue as needed (especially when we are treating the eye area).  Sleep slightly elevate on your back to avoid swelling and rubbing on the area.

Keep the Area Dry As Possible for 7 Days!  Wash with a gentle face soap after day 7 or try your best to keep the area dry until all of the carbon crusts are removed.

Allow scabs to come off on their own.  This will ensure the best possible healed result and avoid scarring and infection. Do not pick for any reason.

Do not apply makeup until the scabbing is complete. I know it is hard but you want the best return from your investment.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds to the treated area. Once the scabbing process is complete, apply broad spectrum SPF 50+ to the area for a minimum of 3 months.

Do not apply any home remedies, plasters (liquid bandaid) or ointments other than what is provided to you.

Do not swim, go in a hot tub or steam bath until scabs have exfoliated.

BE PATIENT WITH THE HEALING PROCESS AND ALLOW YOURSELF TIME TO REST & HEAL.

**Swelling is to be expected after this type of treatment.  This is due to the fact that the area will be recovering from a deliberate controlled wound, therefore the natural side effect is swelling.  There are steps to minimize swelling (ice and antihistamine), but swelling cannot be avoided

FAQ

DOES IT HURT?

Everyone’s interpretation of pain varies.  A topical anesthetic will be applied to help keep you comfortable, and we check in often to assure the most comfortable experience possible.  Some clients say it feels similar to a dull rubber band snapping, whereas others say they can barely feel anything.  It is advised to avoid alcohol and milk 24 hours prior to your appointment for the anesthetic to work most effectively.  Also not scheduling an appointment during a menstration cycle helps avoid unnecessary sensitivity.

DOWN TIME?

It really does depend on what one considers as down-time.  Some are quite okay with going out in public immediately whereas others may wish to stay home and avoid crowds.  It is natural that you will experience swelling the first few days along with a sensation similar to a sunburn.  The small carbon crusts "dots" cannot be disturbed and must shed naturally on their own. This occurs anywhere between 6-12 days, and and varies by genetic as well as lifestyle.occur around days.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO AVOID THE SUN?

Please avoid over sun exposure 4 weeks prior to treatment, and once the carbon crusts flake off, SPF 50+ must be applied to the area for a minimum of 3 months to avoid hyper-pigmentation. The new skin may appear "pink" for a month post procedure because it is essentially NEW skin, and takes a few weeks for everything to even out.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

The results last similar to that of invasive surgery! Keep in mind, this procedure does not reverse or stop the actual aging process.  Treatment will diminish the current concerns of aging and it is up to you to follow good habits to help your continued aging process.

Factors that contribute to aging include smoking, drinking, stress, certain foods, caffeine, harsh weather, lack of sunscreen, poor skin care, excessive sun exposure, as well as genetic all play a role in our appearance.  Some of these factors are controllable, others are not.  It is up to you and to protect the investment in yourself!

I HAVE DARKER SKIN, CAN I HAVE THIS PERFORMED?

Fibroblast skin treatment is not recommended for darker skin types that may be prone to hyperpigmentation. This means the skin can heal darker in the treatment area. Some cases may even heal lighter. Fitzpatrick skin type 5 & 6 are not candidates.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

You may see significant results after one session, however, every client varies in the amount and severity of skin laxity and skin concern for treatment.  Some clients with more pronounced skin laxity may require additional treatments to get full desired effect.  Usually 1-3 treatments on an area is advised within a years time.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

There is no such thing as a magic treatment or serum you can use and get instant results.  Anything that is worth investing in takes time.  Results for this treatment will take a full 12 weeks to see final effect The reason for this is, it takes 4 weeks after the treatment for collagen and elastin production to even begin!  Be patient as the skin usually looks dry or dull before the final radiant results are reached!

CAN I BRING A GUEST(S) TO MY APPOINTMENT?

The space is limited to the working area and one small sofa.  I prefer the appointment to be 1 to 1,  Thank you for understanding.
